Admission

We review all applications holistically and will consider candidates who do not meet all minimum requirements as long as they are able to showcase their strengths in other areas. You can expect to receive an admission decision within 2-3 weeks following receipt of your application and supporting documents.

Admission Requirements

It’s preferred that applicants to the master’s in finance program have at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA. This program is designed for students with an educational background in finance and business, or professionals with a minimum of three years of work experience in any industry. Students who do not have previous finance coursework will need to complete a prerequisite course before beginning core courses to ensure they have the baseline skills for success.

Showcase your current and previous professional and academic experience, and list any relevant certifications, achievements and/or awards you’ve earned.

Personal Statement

Tell us who you are and why you’re interested in our MS in Finance program. What are your aspirations for the future? How will Pace help you get where you want to go? We want to get to know you and your educational and professional history and goals.

Official GMAT/GRE Scores

A GMAT or GRE score may not be required for admission for candidates who:

• Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above, and hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Already hold a business-related master’s or doctoral degree and have requested a waiver

Other individuals may be eligible for a GMAT/GRE waiver and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Official Transcripts for All College-Level Coursework

Include transcripts from every post-secondary institution where you have completed coursework.

Sending transcripts:

Whenever possible, Pace prefers to receive transcripts electronically. Pace University participates in several electronic transcripts networks: Credentials, Parchment Exchange, National Student ClearingHouse, and eSCRIP-SAFE. Confirm with the prior institution to determine if they participate in any of these networks.

Two (2) Letters of Recommendation

The letters must come from post-secondary sources who can talk about your performance in a classroom setting or professional references from managers who can speak to the ability and potential of the candidate to pursue graduate business study. This could include business professionals, professors, instructors, or academic advisors.

International Students must also submit:

To satisfy the Proof of English Requirement, we will accept TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson PTE, or Duolingo academic scores. This requirement is waived for citizens of select countries.
