Because Pace Online programs are conducted nearly entirely online and are largely asynchronous, it is imperative that students meet all of the technical requirements below.

- A computer with sufficient memory and storage to support required software programs
- Reliable internet connection
- Webcam
- Headset
Computer Specifications (Minimum Requirements)
The minimum recommended PC technical requirements are as follows:
- Intel® Core™ i3, i5, i7 or AMD Phenom 2 or higher
- 8 GB memory or more
- 250+ GB hard drive
- Ethernet card and cable (unless using only wireless routers)
- WPA2 A/G/N compatible wireless card
- Windows 7 or later
- External hard drive or online backup account
- Microsoft Office 2016 (available at no charge from Pace University)
- Access to a printer and fax machine
- Your own Internet Service Provider
- Ability to check email at least once a day
- Web camera (needed for projects and proctoring), speakers or a headset, and a microphone
The minimum recommended MAC technical requirements* are as follows:
- Intel i3, i5, i7
- 8 GB memory
- 350+ GB hard drive
- Ethernet card and cable (unless using only wireless routers)
- WPA2 A/G/N compatible wireless card
- Operating system 10.8 or higher
- Parallels or VMware (latest edition) virtual machine software to run windows installation when needed
- External hard drive or online backup account
- Access to a printer and fax machine
- Your own Internet Service Provider
- Ability to check email at least once a day
- Web camera (needed for projects and proctoring), speakers or a headset, and a microphone
*Note: All of your classes will be taken through your web browser, however, depending on your degree track, you will need access to a Windows machine to perform some of the homework assignments.
Software Requirements
- Microsoft Office 2010 or higher
- Students are eligible for one copy of Microsoft Office and can access it here.
- Mozilla Firefox version 12.0 or above
- Classes can be accessed with most browsers, however, for full functionality, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox
- Chrome and Safari browsers are known to have compatibility issues with our internal systems and are not supported.
