What online learning platform will I use?
With the exception of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MA in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs programs (HEASA), Pace Online programs use the Blackboard online learning platform. View these Blackboard learning tutorial videos.
MBA and HEASA courses are taught using the Brightspace “Classes” platform. Students in these programs will access their online orientations and take all of their courses in Classes. To learn more about Brightspace, view these tutorial videos.
Are online courses the same quality as on-campus instruction?
Online students receive the same Pace University degree as all of our on-campus students. Here’s what distinguishes our online programs:
- They are designed for busy adults who are working full-time or have other obligations that do not enable them the time to be in the classroom during the week or during typical business hours.
- They are designed to give students full flexibility through independent work combined with collaborative sessions involving classmates and faculty.
What kind of training and experience do my professors have to teach online?
As part of the University’s commitment to online learning excellence, our faculty undergo in-depth training to become expert online instructors. Faculty are certified in online education through the University’s Faculty Center for Innovative Learning and Professional Development and work with the Faculty Center staff to provide substantive, quality online coursework.

Are payment plans available?
All students are eligible to take advantage of Pace University’s interest-free payment plans. These plans are available for the Fall and Spring terms in monthly installments and there is a weekly plan option available for Summer terms.
I’ve been accepted to an online program. How do I find my username and password?
In order to access Pace Online, you must first activate your account. Follow these steps to activate your credentials:
- Check your personal email for and login in to your applicant status portal to view your decision and your MyPace Portal username.
- Once you have your MyPace Portal username, activate your account.

How do I log into Blackboard?
Visit the Blackboard website to log in using your Pace Portal username and password. MBA and MA in Higher Education Administration and Student Affiars students may log into the Classes website by using your Pace Portal username and password.
Why don’t I see my class in Blackboard?
Courses are typically not made available on Blackboard or in Classes until the first official day of the semester. If the semester has started, it’s possible that you may not be registered for the course or may have registered late.

How do I familiarize myself with the Blackboard online learning platform?
Blackboard and Classes (for online MBA and HEASA students) offers a number of tutorial videos to help students acclimate to the platform. You can also contact Information Technology Services at (914) 773-3333 or firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Please note: ONLY MBA and HEASA students use Classes as their online learning platform. All other programs use Blackboard.
How do I log in to my Pace email account?
Access your Pace email account on the Outlook Web App (Exchange).
Check your Pace Email Inbox at the top of your Pace Portal homepage for any emails from your instructors before classes begin. All official university communications will be sent to your pace.edu email, so you are encouraged to check it at least once per day.

Where can I get IT help?
The Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk is available to online students for phone or email consultations. Although we cannot provide 24/7 coverage, ITS is required to respond to student inquiries within 12 hours.
