Applications to graduate programs at Pace University are carefully reviewed by the Graduate Admission Committee utilizing a holistic approach which considers qualitative and quantitative factors to ensure that admitted students have the requisite background and ability to succeed in the program of their choice. This multifaceted process focuses on an evaluation of academic credentials from all prior colleges and universities attended as well as experience, service history, aspirations, and communication skills. Those individuals that the Graduate Admission Committee believe possess the quantitative and qualitative attributes that best align with the program’s academic requirements will be offered admission to the program.
We believe that professionals find their niche in the information security world in very different ways. We therefore accept students who either hold a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, or have a degree in another field, and a combination of equivalent career experience and prerequisite coursework.
We require three prerequisite courses (9 credits) to enter the MS in Cybersecurity program, which should appear in your prior academic transcripts. They include:
- CS601C or Equivalent: Computational Statistics
- IS612, CS502 or Equivalent: Introduction to Coding or Fundamental Computer Science I Using Java
- IS632 or Equivalent: Business Data Communications
Prerequisites cannot be waived, but applicants can be accepted without them. However, all prerequisite courses will need to be completed before starting foundation/core courses in the program.
No application fee is required. We want professionals applying to our program to focus solely on putting their best foot forward in their application and submission packet. Because of this, we don’t require an application fee.
These general standards apply to all students—domestic and international. There are some additional requirements that apply to international applicants.
