Yes, the AA in General Arts and Sciences is a part-time program designed to accommodate the schedules of working adult students.
Depending on accepted transfer and prior learning credits, students typically complete the program in two to three years.


Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 to remain enrolled in the program.

The AA in General Arts and Sciences is taught asynchronously, meaning that students can complete the required coursework on their own time. There is never a specific time of day that students need to log in to class.

While online classes provide the flexibility to plan your coursework around your busy schedule, you should be prepared to spend as much time covering the material and interacting with your professor and classmates as you would in a traditional on-campus course. Typically you will need 3-4 hours per credit a week for coursework.
Students can expect to hear back from faculty within 24 hours, unless otherwise indicated.

Students on a leave of absence pursuant to the Leave of Absence Policy are considered withdrawn from the University for purposes of financial aid. Consequently, loan repayment obligations may be triggered. Students should speak to a representative of the Financial Aid Office for more detailed information about the status of their financial aid during a leave of absence prior to submitting a Leave of Absence Application.
