What online learning platform will I use?

All Pace Online courses are taught using the Brightspace “Classes” platform. Students in these programs will access their online orientations and take all of their courses in Classes. To learn more about Brightspace, visit the Brightspace Community site where you can search videos or ask the community a question. For access, you’ll need to use your Pace.edu email address and create a password.

Are online courses the same quality as on-campus instruction?

Online students receive the same Pace University degree as all of our on-campus students. Here’s what distinguishes our online programs:
  • They are designed for busy adults who are working full-time or have other obligations that do not enable them the time to be in the classroom during the week or during typical business hours.
  • They are designed to give students full flexibility through independent work combined with collaborative sessions involving classmates and faculty.

All students are eligible to take advantage of Pace University’s interest-free payment plans. These plans are available for the fall and spring terms in monthly installments, and there is a weekly plan option available for summer terms.

I’ve been accepted to an online program. How do I find my username and password?

How do I log into Classes?

Visit the Classes website to log in using your Pace Portal username and password.

Why don’t I see my course in Classes?

Courses are typically not made available in Classes until the first official day of the semester. If the semester has started, it’s possible that you may not be registered for the course or may have registered late.

How do I familiarize myself with the Classes online learning platform?

Classes offer a number of tutorial videos to help students acclimate to the platform. You can also contact Information Technology Services at (914) 773-3333 or pacehelpdesk@pace.edu for assistance.

How do I log in to my Pace email account?

Access your Pace email account on the Outlook Web App (Exchange). Check your Pace Email Inbox at the top of your Pace Portal homepage for any emails from your instructors before classes begin. All official university communications will be sent to your pace.edu email, so you are encouraged to check it at least once per day.

What computer hardware and software will I need?

Where can I get IT help?

The Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk is available to online students for phone or email consultations. Although we cannot provide 24/7 coverage, ITS is required to respond to student inquiries within 12 hours. Additionally, many of the vendors supplying the software used in our online courses have 24/7 help desks.
