Professor Carpenter is a knowledgeable educator with over 10 years of experience. He specializes in distance education for associate and bachelor’s degree seekers and was also the former director of Pace University’s National Coalition for Telecommunications Education and Learning (NACTEL) program.

Before he began teaching at Pace, Professor Carpenter gained over 30 years of professional experience in the telecommunications industry. He worked with top companies such as IBM and AT&T in various positions related to project management, network installation and network design.

Professor Carpenter earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from the University of Northern Colorado.

Darren Hayes has expertise in digital forensics and cybersecurity and as such, was listed as a Top 10 Computer Forensics Professor by Forensics Colleges. Additionally, he developed Pace University’s computer forensics program, fully-equipped with a research laboratory at the Seidenberg School.

He is well researched with numerous peer reviewed articles and often involves his students in research that supports law enforcement agencies domestically and internationally. He also serves as a professional consultant in computer forensics and cyberlaw for New York City’s Department of Education and has been declared as an expert witness in U.S. Federal Court.

Hayes earned his DPS in Computing and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Pace University. He also holds a Higher Degree in Business Studies in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University College of Dublin in Ireland.

Professor Penchina teaches undergraduate, graduate and continuing education courses in Web design principles and applications. Outside of the classroom, Penchina is a successful entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in online and traditional marketing, website design and Web application development.

Professor Penchina has over twenty years of experience developing Web marketing strategies for a wide range of clients, evolving her expertise with the Internet. She is currently the founder and president of Hudson Fusion, a premier marketing agency that provides businesses of varying sizes with Web technologies and digital marketing solutions.

Professor Penchina earned a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from the New York Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Speech and Language Services from Winthrop University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology from Hofstra University.

Gregory Ramsay has over 25 years of experience teaching in higher education, both onsite and online. He has developed online coursework in integrity issues, labor history, computer operating systems, multimedia design, and end user information systems.

He has authored numerous magazine articles on computer networking, hardware, and software in addition to co-authoring a book on business opportunities in the 21st century. Prior to becoming an educator, Ramsay served in the military as an Air Force Weather Officer and a Systems Planning Program Manager.

Ramsay earned a PhD in Education Administration and Management from LaSalle University. He also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Resource Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialty in Corporate Finance from Upper Iowa University.

Stuart A. Varden has been teaching with Pace University for over 30 years where he has developed and taught several online courses. His teaching and research interests include database management systems, telecommunications, and information systems.

He has extensive research experience and is well-published in scholarly journals and conference materials. He is a former president of the Education Special Interest Group of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP/EDSIG) and remains active with a number of professional organizations including AITP/EDSIG, the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals, and the Foundation for Information Technology Education.

Varden earned an EdD in Educational Administration from Columbia University. He also holds a Master of Science in Computer Sciences from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Columbia University.
