About The School

Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT concern, it is a business priority. Because of the growing dangers from data breaches, malware, and identity theft, the need for highly trained cyber defense professionals continues to rise. The Pace University online MS in Cybersecurity program equips students with specialized, hands-on training.

Our curriculum combines theory with practice. Through virtual labs and project-based learning, students have the opportunity to gain experience and training that employers look for. We understand that the future of cybersecurity is continually evolving, and we evolve our courses accordingly. From network defense to ethical hacking, online master’s in cybersecurity graduates gain a comprehensive information security education that develops problem-solving ability and puts them ahead.

Our part-time or full-time, 30-credit hour online MS in Cybersecurity degree can be completed in as little as one year. We offer a two concentrations and a general track:

The Cyber Operations concentration focuses on the technical aspects of protecting computing systems, reconnaissance, and exploitation in cyberspace.
The Cybersecurity Leadership concentration prepares students for cybersecurity leadership roles such as chief information security officer with knowledge of technology, policy, risk management, and governance.
Students who choose not to specialize can complete a general track, in which they choose elective courses from a curated list of cybersecurity-related topics.

Learning Outcomes

Our STEM-designated curriculum expands cybersecurity skills including information security management, penetration testing, and cyber intelligence analysis. Online master’s in cybersecurity graduates leave with the ability to:

Discover, analyze, and recognize security threats at rest or in transit in computing systems.
Apply security principles and practices to maintain operations of computing systems in the presence of risks and threats.
Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts and in a team.

About the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems
